This indie brunch spot has the fluffiest pancakes in Leeds (we’ll bet on it). If Up North's American style pancakes are to die for. If you’re more of a savoury fan, you won’t be disappointed by their savoury brunch pancakes with cheesy scrambled eggs, streaky bacon and salsa. Head to Vicar Lane in Kirkgate to find If Up North.
Crepe Affaire
If you haven’t been to Crepe Affaire, then what are you even doing??? This place is DEDICATED to pancakes, with flavours from Wiltshire ham, egg and cheddar to Ferrero Rocher. They even have a whole vegan pancake menu. Crepe Affaire is in the Trinity Leeds Centre, but you can also get them on Deliveroo (what a bonus).
Le Chalet
Le Chalet’s crepes will melt in your mouth. Literally. This French-inspired eatery specialises in sweet crepes, including caramel, Nutella, white chocolate, jam, and the classic lemon and sugar. Based in the city centre on Park Row, it’s worth the visit.
Olive & Rye
Olive & Rye’s pancake stacks are perfect for Pancake Day. Their caramelised cinnamon apples and honey butter pancakes are our favourite, but their bacon, blueberries and maple syrup option is a VERY close second. This indie restaurant is in Queen’s Arcade, so it’s only a short walk from the University of Leeds.
House of KoKo
House of Koko is an indie coffee house on Harrogate Road in Allerton. The pancakes here are MEGA Instagram-friendly. They're loaded with toppings and dusted with icing sugar. We recommend the Nutella and banana stack - it’s definitely worth the 10-minute bus ride.
