Sheffield Varsity Games (Celebrating its 20th Year)

The most important date in the calendar for Sheffield Hallam University and The University of Sheffield is fast approaching and its celebrating its 20th year.

Varsity Sheffield 2016 is just around the corner and it’s set to be bigger than ever. The annual competition between Sheffield Hallam University and The University of Sheffield is not one to be missed! With an extensive programme of events due to be released shortly, its always very competitive, especially as some of the events get a little heated... to say the least!

With 1,500 students from both Sheffield Hallam University and The University of Sheffield due to take part in over 30 events in over 20 venues across Sheffield, there is something for everyone to enjoy and cheer their University on to victory. Although most events won’t take place near your student accommodation, it’s definitely worth the bus ride or hop in the car with some friends. The University of Sheffield have won the last three in a row, so Sheffield Hallam University will certainly be hoping to put a stop to that.

Last year also marked an incredible achievement setting the record for the highest attendance at a varsity ice hockey game outside of North America in the penultimate event in the Varsity calendar. Tickets will be released soon for both Sheffield Hallam University and The University of Sheffield students.
