Temporary Telesales Executive (Full-time May - Sept 2024)

Sheffield, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom

Salary: £12.00 per hour plus uncapped commission

UniHomes is looking for energetic and driven individuals to join our sales team for the upcoming peak spring/summer season. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in welcoming new UniHomes student customers for the 2024/25 academic year, ensuring they have a smooth onboarding experience and feel excited about their choice to use our hassle-free all-inclusive bills package in their shared student house.

You will use an in-depth knowledge of our service (full training will be given), helping customers over the phone with any queries they may have to ensure they feel excited about using UniHomes. You will establish rapport, understand the needs of customers and link our features and benefits to a specific customer's situation.

This is an ideal role for those who enjoy and are good at B2C sales but want to escape the traditional call centre setting. At UniHomes, our team is small and friendly, our city centre office is state–of–the art, we don’t work shifts, we don’t work weekends, and on Fridays we do drinks at 4.30. We pay £12.00 per hour and the commission is uncapped making this a rewarding and lucrative opportunity for those who are hungry to succeed in sales.

These are fixed-term contracts from May 20th until September 2024. The working hours are 9-5.30 Monday-Thursday and 9-5 Friday. The roles are fully office-based.

Key responsibilities:

  • Making and answering calls to qualified leads to learn about and address customer needs and onboarding them to become customers of UniHomes.
  • Responding efficiently and accurately to callers, explaining possible solutions, and ensuring that they feel supported and valued.
  • Engaging in active listening with callers, confirming or clarifying information.
  • Building lasting relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Utilising software appropriately.
  • Understanding and striving to meet or exceed targets while providing excellent consistent customer service.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in a telesales/contact centre role is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Target-driven and persistent.
  • Resilient and consistent, with the ability to bounce back from setbacks and remain focused on goals.
  • Hard-working, self-motivated and professional.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with your team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience as a university student who has lived in a shared house or experience in the student accommodation sector would be useful but not essential.
