If you’re in search of a communal crash pad near both Newcastle University and Northumbria University for you and a bunch of friends, Jesmond is an area with a lot of larger student houses with anywhere from 6-bedrooms to 9-bedrooms plus. Many student houses here also feature spacious outdoor living areas and gardens, great during the summer, but be prepared to roll your sleeves up to mow the lawn!
For students who prefer being deep into the action, a house in Sandyford puts you as close to Newcastle City Centre as possible, without the associated price-tag. If you like a bit more peace and quiet, Fenham is a bit further afield, but has much more greenery in the Town Moor. Cheaper than other areas of Newcastle’s student accommodation, Gosforth, which is just North of Jesmond, has lots of large dense terraced housing making it ideal for big groups.
