Student Accommodation at the University of Bristol

The University of Bristol is one of the most popular universities in the UK, attracting over 20,000 students every year. Students come from all over the world, helping to create a wonderful international community across campus.

Bristol was voted the best city to live in Britain by the Sunday Times in 2017, claiming the city has lots of 'glamorous, creative, hi-tech and professional' jobs for young people. Additionally, it was the second most targeted university by the UK’s top 100 employers, making the university a great option for students with high career aspirations.

The university was ranked among the world’s top 50 in the QS World University Rankings for 2020. It currently stands in the top 10 UK universities in 2020. Students who choose to study in Bristol won’t be disappointed with what it has to offer, which include opportunities to work abroad and to get involved in local volunteering.

Life on Campus

The University of Bristol is mostly based in the city centre, meaning it’s a short walk from just about everywhere. The majority of teaching takes place at the main campus in Clifton, which is home to the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge. The campus is large, with Grade-I listed Royal Fort Gardens sitting in the centre. The buildings at the University of Bristol are mostly a diverse mix of modern architecture and Victorian classics.

Famous for its research-focus, the University of Bristol is committed to making a positive impact. It has over 200 courses to choose from, and more than 300 societies and sports clubs to get involved with at the Students’ Union. The SU is based just a short walk away from the centre of campus in the University’s Richmond Building. Recently, Bristol’s Student Union brought the SU to the campus by launching the ‘SU Living Room’ at Senate House. This homely area brings the SU presence to the university building, combating isolation and facilitating positive wellbeing.

The University of Bristol's student accommodation is dotted around nearby in Redland, Clifton, Cotham and Kingsdown. Student properties here come with good transport links, great social opportunities and are always close to amenities.
