Student Housing in Aberdeen

About Aberdeen

Aberdeen is Scotland’s third-largest city and one of the oldest cities in the UK. Plus, it was found to be the happiest city in the UK to live and work in (Shawbrook Bank 2021), making it the ideal choice for your uni experience! Home to the prestigious University of Aberdeen and the internationally renowned Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen has a vibrant community of around 50,000 students.

Known locally as the Granite City, Aberdeen is the perfect place to study if you’ve got a strong connection to the outdoors. There are miles of beautiful beaches, the Cairngorms National Park, the picturesque Balmoral Castle, and the scenic River Dee running through the heart of the city!

Aberdeen Student Accommodation

Aberdeen offers a range of student accommodation, from cosy city centre studios to spacious shared student houses. Many of Aberdeen’s student properties are centred around Pittodrie Street and King Street, a short walk from the stunning beachfront and close to The University of Aberdeen’s main campus in Old Aberdeen.

If you prefer to be closer to the city centre, Rosemount is a great option. Other popular options include Spital, Sunnybank and Froghall, areas south of Old Aberdeen. Aberdeen is a relatively small city, and frequent buses make it easy to get around wherever you decide to live.
