About Worcester

Sitting in the heart of England’s West Midlands, the University of Worcester continues to attract ambitious students to its high achieving community. Since being granted full university status in 2005, this innovative institution has established a reputation for industry leading research and world-class teaching.

With four campuses stretching across the region, the university plays a key role in creating the vibrant and welcoming community that Worcester is known for. Satisfaction amongst students is high; from the outstanding teaching staff and depth of courses to the range of clubs and societies on offer, it’s easy to see how 85% of Worcester final year students said they were satisfied overall in 2020.

In the last decade, the University of Worcester has undergone considerable change and transformation, more than doubling student numbers and investing in experts to expand into new subjects. Today, it delivers degree programs to nearly 10,000 students and employs over 1,000 faculty staff.

In turn, it has repeatedly received praise and recognition from institutions like The Times, which shortlisted Worcester three times as its Higher Education University of the Year. The university has also been ranked in the top 3 in the UK for Quality Education in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, which assesses how universities globally are meeting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
