University of Bath Student Accommodation

University of Bath Student Accommodation

Established as the sixth best university in the UK, receiving its Royal Charter in 1966, and holding the TEF Gold Award, the University of Bath is understandably a popular place of study for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The University of Bath holds a population of 15,000 students choosing to study one of the many programmes the university specialises in, from engineering and design right through to social sciences and business management.

The city of Bath became a World Heritage site in 1987 and is a popular tourist destination with international visitors, and as a result of the University of Bath receiving the Gold Award in teaching excellence it is one of the top UK university choices for international students too.

The university is centred around one main campus, Claverton Down, located on the east side of Bath. The location of the university gives students a great choice when it comes to picking student accommodation. Bathwick is one of the favourites, due to its close proximity to both the university and the city centre. Here you’ll find some incredible Grade I Georgian townhouses converted into large five, even six, bedroom student apartments.

On campus you’ll find the Sports Training Village, with both indoor and outdoor training facilities for more than 50 sports. Not only are these £35m facilities spectacular for University of Bath students, they are also home to major international competitions including the tennis Fed Cup.

Another popular area is Oldfield Park, which is heavily populated with students and has its own high street filled with cafes, restaurants and convenience stores – it also has a train station that provides links to Bath Spa, Bristol and London. Nearby Twerton is also a great area to live for access to the main campus with two of the university bus routes passing through.

When it comes to student housing, there isn’t an area in Bath where you won’t have a fantastic choice of homes for you and your new housemates. 4 bedroom or 5 bedroom homes, are a plenty and extremely spacious due to the Georgian style buildings you’ll find converted to modern day student housing.
