The university's impressive employability rates and vibrant social scene attracts around 20,000 students every year.

If the idea of a busy city doesn’t appeal to you that much, plenty of student accommodation options can be found a bit further out of the centre. Stoneygate and Clarendon Park are less than a 30-minute walk from campus, and offer an abundance of greenery in the nearby parklands.

Life on Campus

Leicester is recognised for being one of the friendliest cities in the UK. With 20% of those studying being international students, who come from over 130 countries, it’s clear that the city’s welcoming nature is recognised globally.

Over the years, students have developed over 140 clubs and societies to get involved with at DMU. The university’s influential status has brought several market leaders to deliver guest lectures, with shoe designer Jimmy Choo and novelist and former alumni Adele Parks coming back to visit.
