If you want to eat yourself into a pancake-induced coma, then the Dispensary is for you. Their fluffy pancakes are LOADED with toppings, from Lotus biscuits and Nutella to berries and ice-cream. Find the dispensary around the corner from St. James’ Park on Heber Street.
Jam Jar
Jam Jar’s pancakes can be tailored to suit your taste. Fancy bacon? That’s fine. Ice-cream? Sorted. Oreos? Done. The eatery’s indulgent pancakes with honey are a popular item on their brunch menu, and it’s obvious why. Find Jam Jar on Osbourne Road in Jesmond (or order it – they deliver).
Monsieur Crepe Café
Talk about fluffy. Monsieur Crepe Café has 15+ crepe option for your sweet tooth, from strawberry shortcake to peanut butter and jelly. Their American style pancake selections are MEGA fluffy, and they even have gluten and dairy free options available. Find the café just off Newton Road in High Heaton.
The Teahouse
The Teahouse Newcastle’s signature Teahouse Pancakes are legendary. Enjoy three stacked griddled pancakes, with your choice of toppings, and be prepared to have the best pancakes EVER (probably). They’re SO fluffy. Find the Teahouse on Claremont Road, bang next to Newcastle University.
The Butterfly Cabinet
This vegetarian and vegan-friendly eatery has a bunch of pancakes to choose from. The Butterfly Cabinet’s menu includes protein pancakes, banana pancakes and triple-chocolate pancakes, and will leave you extremely satisfied. Find the Butterfly Cabinet next to Armstrong Park on Heaton Road.
