The famously anonymous artist's "The Mild Mild West" can be found in Stokes Croft, and the area has reinvented itself as a creative centre in recent decades. Its musical credentials include the Lakota nightclub, while the BIMM Music Institute Bristol is found here. Stokes Croft also borders vibrant St Pauls which hosts the St Pauls Carnival.
Stokes Croft is handily located for UoB students, sitting around 15 minutes away from the University of Bristol campus on foot or by bus. Its location near Bristol city centre means it's further out from the UWE Frenchay Campus, taking around 40 minutes by bus.
