Daydreaming about your bucket list? Here are 10 ideas to get you started 👇

The coronavirus pandemic has taken away some of life’s greatest pleasures, but things will go back to normal soon enough. When it does, a whole world of new experiences awaits - and we want to help you get there 💪

We've put together a list of things that NEED to be on your bucket list. Keep reading til the end to enter our competition and win the chance to tick ANYTHING off your list!

Go skydiving

There's something compelling (and equally terrifying) about the idea of throwing yourself out of a plane. Skydiving can be found at the top of bucket lists around the world and is actually one of the easiest to tick off. After the year we've all had, imagine the bliss that could be found in falling (safely) from such great heights – you might never want to touch solid ground again!

Explore the great barrier reef

As one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the great barrier reef can be seen from outer space and is the world’s single biggest structure created by living organisms. Guided snorkel tours are popular with tourists, and the crystal-clear waters and unbelievable sights rival anything you can find on Earth. Tick it off your list soon, as there's still great concern about the long-term health of the reef.

Visit the big apple

New York City is one of the most iconic places on earth. Get lost in the hustle and bustle of Times Square, climb to the top of the Empire State Building, watch the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, or just unwind in Central Park and watch the world go by. These are just a few of the many hotspots and tourist stops in the city that never sleeps.

Take the leap and bungee jump

Whether you’re a thrill seeker or simply want to blow off steam post-lockdown, take a leap of faith and tick off the classic bucket-list item of bungee jumping. If the idea of rapidly falling through the air with only a bungee cord for protection gets your blood pumping, you won’t be disappointed. Although the experience might feel like its over in just a moment, the memory will last a lifetime – because you will be undoubtedly sharing the video with your friend and family for a millennium.

Become a world record holder

We have all dreamed of it, right? Our names up in lights before being inked into the history books forever. Although it might be a bit tricky to tackle the 100m sprint record, world records are being beaten on an almost daily basis, and you can be part of the action too.

Need some inspiration? How about building the tallest toilet paper tower ever? Eating the most smarties in 60 seconds blindfolded using chopsticks? Or even becoming the record holder for most touches of a football in 30 seconds? Records are there to be broken!

Drive an F1 car

Ever wanted to step into the shoes of Lewis Hamilton or Jenson Button for a day and feel the seismic forces of an F1 car going full pelt? Nowadays, you can! Whether you are a Fast and Furious enthusiast, or simply have the Need for Speed – F1 driving experiences will get the adrenaline coursing. After a trip around the track in a passenger seat, it’ll quickly become your chance to live your dream behind the wheel – see you at the finish line!

Fly first class

Passenger planes have got progressively comfier over the last few decades, but there's still an allure to the illusive first-class seats. These luxury spots can cost more than an annual student loan, but that doesn’t stop us dreaming of flying first class and having our every need catered for. Champagne on arrival, the opportunity for a good nap and silver service while at 30,000 ft in the air is a must-have on your bucket list.

Climb Everest

One of the most challenging tasks a human being can complete is scaling the Himalayas and conquering Mount Everest. Countless hours of training, expensive flights, Sherpa costs, and the risks associated with the climb are enough to put many people off. But, if you have Everest at the top of your bucket list, we salute your bravery – take a selfie for us when you get to the peak!

Write a book

Writing a bestseller or penning an autobiography were many people’s ambitions when we went into lockdown. If you didn’t manage it the first time around – relax – you’ve got the rest of your life to get there. Take it chapter by chapter and ask for feedback from those around you – then get onto the publishers and editors to make your dream a reality. Who knows where it could lead? Could it turn into a best seller? A movie? A video game? Don’t let a great idea go to waste!

See the northern lights

Looking for an almost other worldly experience? Look no further! Catching the northern lights is usually a once in a lifetime experience, and it’s one we certainly do not want to miss out on. Tromso in Norway is at the heart of the aurora zone in the Norwegian Arctic, but the northern lights can also be seen from Reykjavik in Iceland, Yukon in Canada and even parts of Lapland. Wrap up warm, watch the lights show and scratch it off your bucket list.
