Nearby is Combe Down Tunnel, Britain’s longest cycling trail is located is on the now-closed Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway. The 1,672 m trail is a great place to burn some calories while taking in some fresh air. A popular location for anyone wanting to embrace the outdoors, and providing plenty of opportunities to do so.
With a village feel about it, Combe Down is a good choice for a student home if embracing local ways is important, with the nearby pubs The Cross Keys and The Forester & Flower offering a good traditional pub experience. For a typical student night out, residents of Combe Down would need to travel a little further and into the city centre as the local amenities are a little on the subdued side.

Students studying at both Bath Spa and University of Bath would find Combe Down convenient, however a car would be best if travelling to Bath Spa - whereas the bus stops right in the centre of Combe Down and goes directly to the University of Bath.
