Larkhall is located to the north of Bath city centre, and is full of quirky gift shops, bookstores and indie restaurants. The area is packed full of things to do, with a whole cluster of gift shops, bookstores, indie food places and pubs running along with lively St. Saviour's Road.

The Rondo Theatre regularly hosts comedy nights and musicals for those of you who want to check out the arts scene. Plus, there are plenty of convenience stores and options for takeaways in the area, so all of the essential student amenities are on the doorstep. Leafy Alice Park is also within walking distance, which is ideal for a summer picnic.

It takes around 30 minutes by public transport to get to the University of Bath from Larkhall, so it's not the closest option for students studying at the university. Students studying at Bath Spa University would be best served by looking closer to Southdown or Twerton, as these are much closer. However, if you're looking for a quirky and quiet area, Larkhall is perfect.
