Student Accommodation in Ashley Down, Bristol
Found to the north of
Bristol city centre, Ashley Down can claim a lot of cultural capital for a fairly small area. It's the base of the City of Bristol College and landmarks include the Seat Unique Stadium (home to Gloucestershire County Cricket Club) and the George Muller museum, a tribute to the Victorian evangelist who is said to have cared for over 10,000 orphans in his lifetime after establishing an orphanage in the area. It's also really close to Bristol Rovers FC's stadium, the Memorial Ground, so sports fans will be in their element living here.
Ashley Down boasts a brand-new train station, opened in 2024, which provides links to Bristol Temple Meads and a handful of small stations. It's around a 40 minute commute to the
University of Bristol campus by train or bus, and slightly closer for
UWE students at around 35 minutes to Frenchay campus on public transport. As an option for student housing, it's a little further out than other areas but offers a vibrant taste of Bristol life.
