The Colston is our student accommodation in Bristol designed with the modern student in mind. Situated in the vibrant city centre and within easy reach of the University of Bristol, BIMM Institute and the University of the West of England, you’ll feel right at home whilst living here.
There are a variety of accommodation options to choose from including studio rooms, 2-bedroom apartments and penthouse studios. If you and a friend want to share a kitchen and living space whilst also having your own cosy bedroom, then choose the 2-bedroom apartment which features a double bed, desk and chair, tons of storage space and a bathroom.
If you’d rather live independently then choose our studio options for your own large double bed, ample storage space, desk and chair, flat screen TV; and kitchen. For those students keen to live a luxurious life, choose our penthouse studios which come with the same features, but even more space!
Living at The Colston means you’ll be sure to have a memorable student experience thanks to our great social spaces. Head downstairs to the common room, where you can hang out with other people from the diverse student community.
We have 100Mbps internet throughout the property too, so you can submit your assignments from the comfort of your own home or tune in to your fave podcasts at night. We know that the cost of living is an important factor to consider when choosing a student home, which is why our property has all-inclusive bills, so you won’t have any unexpected costs to think about besides your rent!
You will be happy to know that we have a fob entry system to the property and 24/7 CCTV so you’ll be able to live a stress-free life. Our property location is within the city centre, so you’re only a stroll away from tons of things to do and see. The Bristol Hippodrome is practically on our doorstep too so you can watch some major theatre productions, or if you’d rather sing your heart out at a gig the Bristol Beacon is only down the road.

Permitted payments and tenant information
Permitted payments
For properties in England, the Tenant Fees Act 2019 means that in addition to rent, lettings agents or landlords can only charge tenants the following payments associated with a tenancy:
- Holding deposits (a maximum of 1 week's rent);
- Deposits (a maximum deposit of 5 weeks' rent for annual rent below £50,000);
- Payments to change a tenancy agreement eg. change of sharer (capped at £50 or any reasonable costs);
- Payments associated with early termination of a tenancy (capped at the landlord's loss or the agent's reasonably incurred costs);
- Utilities, communication services e.g. gas, electricity, internet. TV licence and council tax.
- Interest payments for the late payment of rent (up to 3% above Bank of England's annual percentage rate);
- Reasonable costs for replacement of lost keys or other security devices;
- Contractual damages in the event of the tenant's default of a tenancy agreement; and
- Any other permitted payments under the Tenant Fees Act 2019.
