Student Homes in Bathwick, Bath
Another great place to consider for student living is Bathwick. Located half a mile east of Bath city centre, the residential area is popular with University of Bath students wishing to live close to the campus. A picturesque walk south, along Pulteney Road, leads you onto the River Avon and Bath Spa train station.
Although the area offers fewer shops to the city centre, it is only a short walk away, making it a great location for getting to the high street shops, bars and of course the city's tourist attractions. Bath was given World Heritage Site status in 1987, partly thanks to the infamous Roman Baths and these, along with the Thermae Bath Spa, are a great way to unwind after a long week at university.
For a last-minute night out, Khoosoosi nightclub is close by so you don’t have to worry about spending money on a cab. If you would prefer to spend your time with picturesque surroundings then Sydney Gardens and the Holborne Museum are located at the end of Bathwick Street. For a relaxing walk and breathtaking views then continue down Bathwick Hill where you will find the panoramic views of the Bath Skyline.
Other student areas nearby include Oldfield Park, Twerton and Combe Down all with great access to the city centre and both universities. Students choosing Bathwick for their student accommodation have the option of 2-bedroom apartments up to 10-bedroom homes depending on the size of the group. Most student properties in the area are complemented with fantastic architecture, fully furnished double bedrooms and some may even be lucky enough to have their own rear garden.
Student accommodation in Bathwick is made up of beautiful historic detached houses many of which are now listed buildings, redeveloped to a high standard. The Georgian architecture, similar to that seen on the Royal Crescent, is not only a spectacular tourist attraction for the City of Bath but also makes for some of the most sought after student houses in the city.
