Student Homes in Swaythling, Southampton

Swaything is one of Southampton’s most sought after student areas, as it's only a short 15-minute walk from the University of Southampton’s main Highfield campus. Solent University is slightly further afield, and takes about 20-minutes on the bus.

The majority of student homes in Swaythling are aimed at groups of four or five, which is perfect if you’re house sharing with a mid-sized group. Although Southampton’s city centre is a 25-minute bus ride away, you’re not far from the other popular student areas such as Portswood and Bassett, so you’ll still have plenty of parties on your doorstep.

If you fancy a break from the action, there are some great outdoor spaces close by. With Daisy Dip and Monks Brook Playing Fields each only a 10-minute walk away, there is plenty of open greenery for BBQs and drinks in the sunshine.

Swaything high street has all of the essentials for student living, including takeouts, convenience stores and pubs. You won’t be short when it comes to a drinks or food run.
