Calthorpe Court is our fantastic accommodation in Birmingham for students just a 20 min walk to the University of Birmingham. We also have great public transport links, so if you’re attending Birmingham City University, Aston University or any other university in the city you can hop on a bus ride to your lectures easily! Fancy going into town? There are frequent busses into town or if you’re bringing your car with you to uni, we’re only a 12-minute car journey away. By the way, we do have a car park on-site!
We have 2 flat styles to choose from which all come with high-speed Wi-fi and all utility bills are included. Choose our ensuite room and you’ll get your own private bathroom and have a shared kitchen and living space to share with your flatmates. Our classic two-bedroom flats are a great choice if you want some extra room and a shared bathroom with one other person. Each apartment comes with a comfy single bed as well as a desk and chair, so you’ll have a great study setup for when you’ve got deadlines to complete. Whatever you require, speak to us and we’ll be happy to help you find your perfect living space.
Our large common room is your go-to spot for socialising with others, whether it's meeting new people or having fun with your flatmates. We have super comfy places to sit, a large television, and a pool table. When the sun's out, make sure to make the most of our outdoor area as well.
There are plenty of things to do around the local area of our Birmingham private student accommodation if you don’t fancy heading into the city centre. Calthorpe Park is just a couple of mins' walk away with a wide-open grass area and a football pitch. It’s the go-to spot for a picnic or playing a game of footy with friends! There’s also Cannon Hill Park, which is a 5 min walk away as well. Within the grounds, there is mini golf, The Garden Tea Rooms, a boating lake and the Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Centre. Edgbaston Stadium is just a five-minute walk away from the property which is home to Warwickshire County Cricket Club, so get tickets to a cricket match whilst staying with us!

Permitted payments and tenant information
Permitted payments
For properties in England, the Tenant Fees Act 2019 means that in addition to rent, lettings agents or landlords can only charge tenants the following payments associated with a tenancy:
- Holding deposits (a maximum of 1 week's rent);
- Deposits (a maximum deposit of 5 weeks' rent for annual rent below £50,000);
- Payments to change a tenancy agreement eg. change of sharer (capped at £50 or any reasonable costs);
- Payments associated with early termination of a tenancy (capped at the landlord's loss or the agent's reasonably incurred costs);
- Utilities, communication services e.g. gas, electricity, internet. TV licence and council tax.
- Interest payments for the late payment of rent (up to 3% above Bank of England's annual percentage rate);
- Reasonable costs for replacement of lost keys or other security devices;
- Contractual damages in the event of the tenant's default of a tenancy agreement; and
- Any other permitted payments under the Tenant Fees Act 2019.
