Found towards the west of Sheffield's city centre, Crookes is a popular choice for student accommodation, especially among University of Sheffield students.
Crookes' vibrant high street, with a brilliant mix of independent shops, supermarkets, cafés and pubs, makes for a great student experience. It also boasts the beautiful Bole Hills, which have amazing views over Stannington and the Rivelin Valley, and make for a great place to watch the sunset or fireworks displays.
While it may be a bit further out from the centre than Crookesmoor and Broomhill, Crookes still has strong transport links via the 52 and 52a buses, and it's still very doable to walk to UoS campus, albeit an uphill battle on the way back!
Crookes boasts a mix of traditional student houses for big groups and apartments and flats for individuals or smaller groups. Historically, a separate village on the edge of Sheffield's city borders, it still maintains a village feel and uniqueness today, which attracts students and professionals alike.
