Looking for a new hangout in Sheffield? Here are ten which are super Insta-friendly.

We may be slightly biased, but we think Sheffield looks GORGEOUS everyday (as this cute street arts suggests). If you’re all about living for the ‘gram, then we’ve compiled a list of the most Instagrammable spots you can find across Sheffield.

Cutlery Works, Neepsend Lane

It may be the new kid on the block, but the Cutlery Works has fast become one of the most popular spots to hang out across Sheffield. The concept is the first of its kind in Sheffield, and sees a collection of different food styles all gathered under one roof. Accompanied by various bars, serving all sorts of alcoholic treats, from real ale to cocktails. If you dream of an new insta-worthy shot for your feed, you’re bound to get it here with endless #foodporn choices, industrial décor, pretty cocktails, Japanese lanterns and a glimpse of the sunset across the River Don.

Eve Kitchen, Sharrowvale Road

If you’re as mad about doughnuts as we are, then you've GOT to get yourself down to Eve.Kitchen. Try the selection of delicious handmade doughnuts that are baked fresh every day. Not only are they an absolute dream to eat, but they're the kind of thing Instagram dreams are made of. With eye catching fillings on the backdrop of the minimal artisan café décor, Eve literally ticks every Instagram box!

The Botanist, Leopold Square

From the outside, The Botanist may look like just another cool cocktail bar, but once you’re inside you’ll never be short of something to eat, drink or admire. When you visit, it’s a must to head upstairs and uncover the Secret Butterfly Garden. It's like walking down to the bottom of the garden and finding where the fairies live – but better. If all that isn’t enough, this place makes the most Insta-worthy backdrop for your selfies.

The Riverside, Mowbray Street

If you’re around Kelham Island, you’re never going to be short of Instgrammable spots. With the array of fab food and drink outlets and street art, Kelham Island has it all. A long-time favourite is the Riverside, which looks over the River Don. The Riverside has everything you could need in an Instagram post; a real ale pub, serving great food and a fine selection of drinks. But it’s the insta-famous neon sign that stretches across the side of the pub that you may want to get a snap of. Find it on the corner of Mowbray Street, telling us ‘…don’t do all the talking, let love speak up itself…’

Alyssum Cafe Bistro, Barber Road

Do you even Instagram if your feed doesn’t contain an arty coffee shot? Well, we’ve found the perfect Greek-inspired café just for you. Not only do Alyssum do an amazing range of coffees, but they also serve homemade breakfast, lunch and freshly baked cakes. The cosy Mediterranean-inspired décor will give you the home-from-home feel, that also happens to be the cutest backdrop for your next Instagram post.

Ink & Water Coffee, West One

Speaking of coffee, we couldn’t talk about Sheffield's coffee shops without mentioning Ink and Water. Nestled in Sheffield City Centre, it'd be easy to think you're in Central London as you walk through the doors in West One.

The industrial pieces of furniture and home-made pastries and cakes go hand-in-hand, making it the perfect photo (the type-writers on the wall are a particular favourite).

But, if coffee and cool surroundings aren't your thing - then you have to visit just to meet Dylan the Retriever, Head of Customer Services...

The Lost & Found, Ecclesall Road

The Lost & Found is pretty new to Sheffield, and is the latest addition to this chain of avant-garde cocktail bars and restaurants (all of which are inspired by professors from each location). Sheffield is home to The Victoria B. Darcy Lost & Found, a Professor of Horticulture that has inspired the entire interior and exterior of the Victorian hideaway.

This place oozes Insta-inspo, from the pretty pink blossom-covered entrance to the secret bar hidden behind the Victorian artwork that lines the walls. This place is like a dream come true.

The Diamond, University of Sheffield

The winner of the Design and Innovation Award in 2016’s Yorkshire and Humber Region Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Awards, The Diamond is a unique piece of architecture. It's the home to the specialist teaching facilities of the University of Sheffield. Not only is this building the university’s largest ever investment, but it’s an impressive subject for any Instagram post too.

Sheffield Hallam Charles Street Atrium, Arundel Gate

A new addition to Sheffield Hallam University, the Charles Street Building was a £30m project that finished in 2014. One of the most impressive parts of this building is the Charles Street Atrium, which features floor to ceiling windows. The steel structures, large glass windows and views across the city centre from the upper floors are most certainly Instagram worthy.

Botanical Gardens, Clarkehouse Road

One of the best bits about living in Sheffield is that you’re never far from stunning greenery. Even close to the city centre, you’ll find 19 acres of gardens at the Botanical Gardens. An ideal spot for students to hang out on a summer’s day, the Botanical Gardens has 18 different areas to explore, and is home to many outdoor events over the year. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding the perfect spot for the ‘gram.
