History and culture
If there’s a place to experience some amazing cultural attractions, it’s Glasgow! The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is a great day out and a nice place to take a wander through. The Riverside Museum as well as the Glasgow Science Centre are interesting and close to the River Clyde.
The city also has some wonderful historical sites. Glasgow Cathedral is a beautiful sight, and if you have a day to spare, a walk or bus ride to the Merchant City will place you in the centre of gorgeous medieval houses, busy shops and cafes.
Music
There is an incredible music scene in Glasgow, famously being named the UK’s first UNESCO City of Music. Scotland is home to many successful artists, and it’s a great place to see some of the big (and small!) names in concert. Whether at the OVO Hydro, the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, or the renowned King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, live music is at its best in Glasgow, and you don’t want to miss out!
Parks and gardens
No matter where you are in Glasgow, there will always be a park or garden to explore. Glasgow has over 90 parks and gardens! Some to note are the Botanic Gardens and Alexandra Park. If you want to travel a little further out, Loch Lomond and the Highlands are worth the journey for the stunning views you’ll find.
