Paddy's Day is on 17th March this year, meaning it's not long now until the festivities begin.  With plenty of venues celebrating the day with giveaways, dancing, traditional Irish food, traditional music and plenty of alcohol, there's bound to be something on near you. So check out our list of events on near you this St Patrick's Day.


Sheffield

  • North vs Midlands vs South Bar Crawl

The legendary North vs Midlands vs South bar crawl is back. Hosted by CODE, tickets for this Paddy’s Day event start from as little as £3. It’s always a massive do, so if you’re up for taking part in the best bar crawl in Sheffield – make sure you grab some tickets here.

  • Bar One Celebration

The University of Sheffield’s Student Union is putting on an all-day St Patrick’s Day celebration at Bar One, with a bunch of different Irish drinks offers, Irish burgers and a few giveaways. It’s deffo worth a visit. Head to the Union from 11am onwards for some great craic. Find out more here.

  • Cocktail Masterclass

Hallam Union’s Hospitality Society is teaming up with Kettle Black to put on a cocktail masterclass from 7:30pm, including prosecco on arrival and two cocktails/mocktails of your choice (what a winner!). Want to get involved? Get tickets here.

Leeds

  • All-Day St Patrick's Day Festival

Beckett’s all-day St Patrick’s Day Festival is definitely worth a visit. From midday on the 17th March, the festival has everything from themed live bands, giveaways, DJs, performers and discounted food and drink. There’s even free Guinness on offer for the first 200 people (so get there early!). If you’re at a loose end this Paddy’s Day, definitely check it out.

  • St Patrick's Day Ceilidh

Fancy doing something different this Paddy’s Day? Why not head down the Refectory for a St Patrick’s Day Ceilidh? Hosted by Leeds University Student Union’s Irish Dancing Society, the ceilidh is your chance to learn traditional Irish dancing - and there's no better time to learn. All profits from tickets are donated to Leeds Irish Health and Homes, check it out here.

  • Bongo’s Bingo

Bongo’s is back and better than ever. This St Patrick’s Day Special is on for two days, for both the 17th and 18th March (meaning double the fun). Grab some tickets and have an absolute blast (if you can find any tickets left). Find out more here.

Newcastle

  • Student Union Celebration

Newcastle University’s Student Union’s legendary Paddy’s Day event is back. Celebrate the best day of the year with live Irish buskers on all day, live DJs, free Guinness, karaoke and much more. With drinks from £3, it's the place to be this St Patrick’s Day. Head to Luther’s Bar at the SU from midday. Find out more here.

  • Paddy's Day Party

Hosted by Northumbria’s Student Union and Habita, this Paddy’s Day Party celebrates all things Irish. The event has live music, face painting, street food, and even a glitter station (what a winner). From 11am until gone midnight, it’s deffo worth a visit. Find out more here.

  • Blanc

If you fancy getting on it earlier, Blanc is open from 10:30am for their Paddy’s Day celebration (bingo). With an ulster fry up and free themed merch, it’s definitely worth heading down. Bar Blanc is open until 11pm, so you can literally stay out all day. Find out more here.

  • Filthy’s

Filthy’s is open from midday until the early hours of the morning, so if you fancy an evening do - it’s perfect. Pints are just £3 all day if you get a wristband, so head to their Facebook page to reserve a spot. Entry is free all day, and you can even reserve a table for up to 20 people for free!

Norwich

  • Damn Good Does Paddy's Day

Head over to Damn Good to celebrate St Patrick’s Day the right way. Hosted by the University of East Anglia, Damn Good always gets it right. Plus, you can get in the spirit and wear some green clothing to join in with their fancy dress. Tickets are going fast, so grab some while you can here.

  • BrewDog

Head down to BrewDog on Queen Street for their Paddy’s Day party. Showcasing their fave Irish Beers, BrewDog is the perfect place to go if you fancy spending the day day-drinking with some quirky brews. Find out more here.

  • Bongo’s Bingo
