The area is just opposite the main UEA campus, making it heavily populated with students. Because of this, you'll find student homes are often a little bit cheaper than in surrounding areas.

For a more thorough shopping experience (or for a decent selection of restaurants) you should venture down towards Unthank Road, which is packed full of eateries.
Student social life is booming in Earlham. With the UEA campus so close by, you can easily get to the Students Union, which regularly hosts events and activities through its many student societies. For students feeling more outdoorsy, there's Eaton Park just a 10-minute walk away.
