The Cardiff student housing market
Cardiff students can pick from a variety of popular student areas - but Cathays, located just north of the city centre, is the most popular place to search for student housing each year. The vibrant student areas of Roath and Heath, which are just a short walk from both universities in the city, are also popular.
Big student houses are very popular here. We see most demand from Cardiff students for four-bed student houses each year, closely followed by five-beds and six-beds - so if you're searching in a group of those sizes, make sure to get in early to secure a great house!
Cardiff University accommodation
Students at Cardiff University are spoilt for choice when it comes to student housing options. The areas surrounding Heath Park or Cathays Campus are littered with fantastic student homes - we recommend looking for options close to where your lectures will be. Either way, the spacious Bute Park makes for an impressive green space to take a stroll between lectures.
Cardiff Metropolitan University accommodation
Cardiff Metropolitan University is surrounded by a bunch of parkland, which makes the campus a glorious place to study during the summer months.
